Sonogram Day

Heath and I went back to the dr. today for our 1st sono. I had my 1st monthly appt last week. According to my last period I should be about 13 weeks but she thought I was measuring 15+. So she wanted a sonogram done ASAP to find out my true due date.
It is one of the most AMAZING feelings to me when you see your baby for the first time. Both on screen and in real life. I know what to expect by now but I am still always taken back by the miracle of it all. That my little skinny baby is kicking away safely in my tummy. That after only 13 weeks of growth you can see all of the little arms, legs, hands and feet! A tiny little growing, healthy baby. WHEW!! I could go on and on.... BUT I won't!
The sono tech confirmed my 13.5 weeks of gestation--just as I thought- with a due date of April 21st. Dr. McClure said the reason my uterus was measuring big was probably because I had had a baby in the last year!! Oh yeah!
The sonogram also showed COMPLETE placenta previa. We talked about things I should and should not do and I am not too worried. I will take it easy with my workouts and try to keep Heath at bay ;) poor guy! I had partial previa with Paisley and it worked itself out by my 20th week and we are hoping it does the same this time.
So that's our update for now. I am constantly posting in my mind but little Paisley and her big sisters are keeping me soo busy. We talk CONSTANTLY about what our life is going to be like in 6 months and on from there! Right now I am not trying to get too far ahead of myself and just take in everyday. Because even though pregnancy can really SUCK...it also has some really awesome benefits that I am trying to savor as I know this is my very LAST pregnancy.

Busy Baby Day!!!

Karagirl is going to LOVE this picture being the first on this post I am sure!!! Love ya!! What a day we had today!!! Since school is starting soon and we are vacationing before then I had some things I needed to get done in Wichita so Kara, Crosby, and I decided to do it ALL on Saturday!! First we stopped at the Attic and did the CUTE make-n-take with Krusty. It was fun to go with Kara and do a page and Crosby was super good!! Then we headed to the West side for lunch and shopping. We ate at Pei Wei (fast food PF Chang's) in New Market Square.

We sat on the patio and BOY was it sunny!!! There were 2 umbrellas and we didn't get so lucky. Oh well the food was YUMMY and the company was even better!! Check out Crosby using her chopsticks! She did great!

We had lettuce wraps FO SHO!!!!

After lunch I had a little surprise for Crosby. I wanted to squeeze in a few little things for her since I knew it would be a long day. I saw these fountains the last time we were out here so I had packed her suit and Kara and I sat on a park bench and watched Cros play for about 20 minutes. She LOVELOVELOVED the fountains as I had suspected she would and better yet didn't give us any trouble when it was time to go!!

This is seriously about 1/8 of the pictures I took. I got some really good ones and I can't wait to crop them at CAG!!!

She kept running and jumping over them saying "jack be nimble, jack be quick, jack jump over the candle stick..." I was sooo pumped to get this shot of it!!

We then stopped at the New Market Target so I could do a baby registry but their scanners were down so we decided to hit JoAnn's in the mall to look at fabric for the nursery. Of course this was the first store you see walking into the entrance I chose....

she is a self proclaimed candy monster and she was in HEAVEN!!! She chose mini gummy bears that I thought were priced like we were at the movie theater!!!! I didn't find a whole lot at JoAnn's in the way of fabric (I was kinda in search of the perfect pink paisley pattern!!) but I did see a ton of chenille that I have always LOVED!! So pink chenille will definitely be a MUST for the baby's room!! It is actually a bumpy polyester fabric that is the SOFTEST stuff in the world that I am looking at for her bedding. I plan on hitting a few other fabric stores to find just the right paisley for some pillows and maybe the windows---just accents, nothing overwhelmingly paisley. So that is good at least I know pretty well what I am looking at. We decided to hit up Babies R Us next so I could register there too. When I walked in I was in baby HEAVEN!!! We scanned and shopped for 2 hours. It was AWESOME but my body was completely aching when we were done!!

These were some AMAZING rockers that we took a break in. Mine was soft brown chenille!! So I scanned it for fun!! I am sure I will be getting the $399 rocker!!! heeheeeheee!!

Cros was a PRO scanner!! She even knew how to up the quantity on the scanner if we needed her to!!! It was so sweet that she would ask Kara to pick her up when we needed to scan things she couldn't reach!! Kara is going to be such a great momma some day!! ;) and NO she's not preggo...just sayin!!!! Kara has enough on her plate planning TWO friends' showers in 2 months!! She is going to be a pro shower thrower!!!

Crosby would take sporadic breaks and let me in on the action. Here I am scanning some brown and pink butterfly/paisley bedroom stuff.

So lastly we hit up the west side Target to do finish registering---I was super pooped, we all were but decided that it would be better to get it all done today.

A quick stop at the snack bar for some fuel we were good to go for round two. I found a lot of cute things that were different than at Babies R Us so that was good. All in all it was a great day---we were gone about 12 hours and I think I way overdid it but my MOJO is kickin to get started on her room!!! fun stuff!!!

Relaxing!!!

As all know by now, this is our first summer seriously dedicated to playing softball. It was a decision we made as a family and I do not regret it a bit--now when Crosby starts playing I may be singing a different tune!!!! :) But needless to say the five, actually six!, of us have done a lot of happy sacrificing of our summer so far for the Big Girls. However, we just get going and going so fast that we forget how to CHILL sometimes!! Heath and the girls are happy as clams at the ballpark (even on non-game days!), well this momma needs her rest and relaxation- INDOORS!! I have always been a Summer Lovin Girl and could live outside and in the pool but right now---air conditioning is my BFF!!! I just get soooo hot and sweaty and the heat ZAPS my energy. So after yesterday's game my Kara Girl treated me to one of our FAVORITE inside activities!! Pedicures!! KG and I have been getting pedi's together pretty regularly for almost 10 years now!!! (Back in the day when we were single and a little poorer we would sit on my back porch, drinking a few beers, and giving each other spa pedicures from this really great kit I bought from the salon... almost as good as the real thing!! She also used to wax my eyebrows in the bank drive thru but that is another story for another time!!! ...back to yesterday... KG called around and found out that the nail salon in Wellington's Wal-Mart (the apparent home of the 40 minute pedicure!!) was open on Sunday so off we went for some much needed TLC. Our toes are looking great today but I think we will be sticking to one of our usual salons for next month!! I think a pedi should last AT LEAST an hour!!! It was a WONDERFUL treat though and I want to say thankyouthankyouthankyou to MY Kara Girl... one of the best friends a girl could have!!!
Another summer indoor activity has been DVRing new shows! One day I caught the reality show about Tori Spelling and her life now. Back in the day I was a HUGE 90210 fan, and even though Donna Martin was probably my LEAST favorite character, I found myself quickly addicted to her new show!! Her little family is surprisingly down-to-earth and I love the interaction between her and her SUPER cute husband Dean McDermott. So in true Danelle fashion, when I find something I really like I can't get enough!!!--hello Twilight!!, I headed out to find her first book sTori Telling. I started it on Saturday morning and plan on finishing it today (kara girl-I will put it in your mailbox tonight)! It is a quick and easy read and I recommend both the book and the show for a fun summer treat, especially if you were a Dylan, Kelli, Brandon, and Brenda fan back in the day!!!
This is what I have lined up next:

...I don't know much about it other than it I saw it listed in my Glamour magazine as a can't miss summer read---that's all i needed to hear!! I will let you know how it goes. What is everyone else reading this summer???? I am always looking for a great book!! OH, I almost forgot the MOST IMPORTANT PART!!! Saturday afternoon while I was reading in bed, baby girl started moving around quite a bit. I have always described her movements as a goldfish swimming around in my tummy with a few occasional big kicks, but this time was dIfFeReNt!! She was going to town and you could see and feel it from the OUTSIDE!!! I was soo excited my eyes started to get teary. Since we got to see her in the sonogram I am picturing her as a baby now and less of the fuzzy blob from our first sono!! She is moving constantly now and if I would take a few minutes to lay and relax I am sure Heath and the girls would be able to feel her too!! I told Heath that this is baby's way of telling me she likes to relax and take naps with me!!! :)
