Busy Baby Day!!!

Karagirl is going to LOVE this picture being the first on this post I am sure!!! Love ya!! What a day we had today!!! Since school is starting soon and we are vacationing before then I had some things I needed to get done in Wichita so Kara, Crosby, and I decided to do it ALL on Saturday!! First we stopped at the Attic and did the CUTE make-n-take with Krusty. It was fun to go with Kara and do a page and Crosby was super good!! Then we headed to the West side for lunch and shopping. We ate at Pei Wei (fast food PF Chang's) in New Market Square.

We sat on the patio and BOY was it sunny!!! There were 2 umbrellas and we didn't get so lucky. Oh well the food was YUMMY and the company was even better!! Check out Crosby using her chopsticks! She did great!

We had lettuce wraps FO SHO!!!!

After lunch I had a little surprise for Crosby. I wanted to squeeze in a few little things for her since I knew it would be a long day. I saw these fountains the last time we were out here so I had packed her suit and Kara and I sat on a park bench and watched Cros play for about 20 minutes. She LOVELOVELOVED the fountains as I had suspected she would and better yet didn't give us any trouble when it was time to go!!

This is seriously about 1/8 of the pictures I took. I got some really good ones and I can't wait to crop them at CAG!!!

She kept running and jumping over them saying "jack be nimble, jack be quick, jack jump over the candle stick..." I was sooo pumped to get this shot of it!!

We then stopped at the New Market Target so I could do a baby registry but their scanners were down so we decided to hit JoAnn's in the mall to look at fabric for the nursery. Of course this was the first store you see walking into the entrance I chose....

she is a self proclaimed candy monster and she was in HEAVEN!!! She chose mini gummy bears that I thought were priced like we were at the movie theater!!!! I didn't find a whole lot at JoAnn's in the way of fabric (I was kinda in search of the perfect pink paisley pattern!!) but I did see a ton of chenille that I have always LOVED!! So pink chenille will definitely be a MUST for the baby's room!! It is actually a bumpy polyester fabric that is the SOFTEST stuff in the world that I am looking at for her bedding. I plan on hitting a few other fabric stores to find just the right paisley for some pillows and maybe the windows---just accents, nothing overwhelmingly paisley. So that is good at least I know pretty well what I am looking at. We decided to hit up Babies R Us next so I could register there too. When I walked in I was in baby HEAVEN!!! We scanned and shopped for 2 hours. It was AWESOME but my body was completely aching when we were done!!

These were some AMAZING rockers that we took a break in. Mine was soft brown chenille!! So I scanned it for fun!! I am sure I will be getting the $399 rocker!!! heeheeeheee!!

Cros was a PRO scanner!! She even knew how to up the quantity on the scanner if we needed her to!!! It was so sweet that she would ask Kara to pick her up when we needed to scan things she couldn't reach!! Kara is going to be such a great momma some day!! ;) and NO she's not preggo...just sayin!!!! Kara has enough on her plate planning TWO friends' showers in 2 months!! She is going to be a pro shower thrower!!!

Crosby would take sporadic breaks and let me in on the action. Here I am scanning some brown and pink butterfly/paisley bedroom stuff.

So lastly we hit up the west side Target to do finish registering---I was super pooped, we all were but decided that it would be better to get it all done today.

A quick stop at the snack bar for some fuel we were good to go for round two. I found a lot of cute things that were different than at Babies R Us so that was good. All in all it was a great day---we were gone about 12 hours and I think I way overdid it but my MOJO is kickin to get started on her room!!! fun stuff!!!

Oh Where, Oh Where has the Blogger Gone? Oh Where Oh Where Can She Beeeee?

So let me tell YA where I've been!!! For the past two days I have been at home. That is right NO WORK FOR ME!!! Belle Plaine had some flooding issues so they cancelled school Monday and Tuesday!! SHUT UP I know!!! How SWEET for me!!! A quick weekend recap then on to my flood days... On Friday night I ran my goods over to the Attic garage sale and then went home and didn't do much. Crosby wasn't feeling good and I was just EXHAUSTED (by Friday I am done-ski!!!) So we crashed early and the next day we had soccer but again she was still running a fever and complaining of an earache so we stayed in and Heath went to coach the big girls. That afternoon I had plans to meet with Foxy Book-sy aka Lindsay and Kara-girl. We hit the Attic garage sale and came away with some serious TREASURE!!! I tried to reserve myself, after all, I was PURGING--- not taking home the purges of others!!!! Don't get me wrong there was were still things I couldn't go on living without that HAD to come home with me!!! Since Lindsay and Karagirl are pretty new to scrapbooking they have a TON of "collecting" (we can't decide if we are scrapbookers to preserve memories or collect pretty things!!) to do so this was a PERFECT event for them!!!! After, we went to Abuelo's (babypumpkin was feeling some Mexican food!!!) After all (and I realize that I say after all a BUNCH!!) we had some CELEBRATING to do. Lindsay got engaged Friday night!!! Oh, I was so excited for her!!! Our little Lindsay is growing up {sniff sniff}...
We had the waitress take a picture of her showing off the rock. Ahhh young love :) As I look at this picture I see three women in such exciting stages of life. One newly engaged, one newlywed surviving a remodel on her house (the true test of marriage so I have heard!!!), and one expecting a new arrival. So many things are going on for the three of us... it makes my heart smile thinking about it. (oh and Kara you KNOW matching grout color to tile is exciting!!!)

And THIS is what I did on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday....

I spent TONS of time with my BEAUTIFUL baby girl. Who is about to not be my baby anymore and she is claiming to be just fine with it! {sniff sniff again!!} I am so busy that sometimes I can feel the connection between the two of us to be a little loose so a couple of bonding days and we were back on the right track. We really didn't do much of anything productive---DON'T YOU LOVE IT!!! We slept in and watched tv she lovesloves SpongeBob and iCarly right now. We went out to lunch and went to the library and played outside. Just a lot of mommy and daughter things that are usually reserved for Summer when we have nothing on the agenda but to be together. The past two days with her have REALLY given me a chance to think about how lucky I am to have her because she is so uniquely HER!! She is SUCH a good little girl. And seriously she makes me LAUGH so hard. She is RARELY in a bad mood and is just a JOY to be around. I am so blessed with wonderful daughters and REALLY looking forward to this next baby!!
I know I can hear Steff now.... "You're CRAZY!!!" I always knew I wanted a big family and I am lucky to have a husband who wants the same. We know our life is HECTIC and CHAOTIC but we wouldn't want it any other way. Come on.... it is not that we didn't REALIZE that having 4 kids and 3 dogs would be CRAZY. It makes me think of Jon and Kate.... it is a CRAZY life but it is OUR life....

Oh What a Day!!

I made my facial lady take a picture of me!! She thought it was fun!

I really do know that I have a great life! Sometimes my hormones get in the way but in the back of my mind I am VERY thankful for all of my blessings. Since "No Project Day" went so well I thought we would try it again today :) YES! I slept in until about 9 and then proceeded to watch Jon and Kate plus 8 and What not to Wear until about 10:30!!! I rarely watch random tv anymore I am soo spoiled by DVR that I can hardly tolerate commercials. Anyone else out there feeling that way??? I ended up pausing every few minutes that Crosby needed something anyway so it worked out fine. I got in a little fast forward time :) **Sometimes I will even pause a show and go do a few things JUST SO I HAVE THE FAST FORWARD built up! Enough about my DVRing. After my a.m. veg fest I accepted a lunch invitation from my Kara Girl. I dropped the girls off at my mom's and met Kara at Mozitti's (an italian place in Ark City). We had sandwiches with bacon, chicken, ranch, and cheese-- a pregnant woman's dream!! It was so nice to have a weekday lunch date even though I HATE to rub it in to all of my NON-teacher friends. Too bad, wrong profession girls! :) It is DEFINITELY the next best job (as far as time off goes) to being a stay at home mom (another thing I am thankful for). After lunch I headed to the little scrapbook store in AC. Kara had gotten me a gift certificate for my birthday and it was just BURNING a hole in my pocket!! I went and picked up some things I "NEEDED!" and the next thing I knew it was 2:30 and I was late!! I rushed to my FACIAL appointment. It has been awhile since I have had a facial and can I say FABULOUS!!! I definitely plan on spoiling myself with them throughut my pregnancy. I feel so refreshed and relaxed (I may not even kill Random Man for having the girl's bat bags in his car after he SWORE like 5 times they were on the back porch--and that is ALL I have to say about that cause you know I would LOVE to go on :) Picking on RM is one of my ALL TIME favorite pasttimes!!!! I know that deep down he LOVES it!
*************************************************************************************
Oh my!!! I just took a break from blogging to work on supper and I asked RM if he would make the pancakes, cause I always burn them!! As he was getting the stuff together he asked me "Is this a wet or dry measuring cup?" WTH??? Is there even a difference-- don't answer that becuase at this house the answer is NO!! I have been cracking up ever since and giving him crap about it in my best british accent!! :)) hee hee good times!! Is this a wet or dry measuring cup ha ha ha ha ha!!
Adler reminded me of a very fitting Juno quote to go with tonight's pancakes, eggs, bacon and hashbrowns, that I will end with:
Bleeker's Mom: But Puppy, you ran 9 miles today. We're having breakfast for dinner...it's your favorite."
