6th Anniversary Dinner

Since our Anniversary was on a Saturday night and we had all four of the girls at home with us we decided to stay in and celebrate (we had afterall gone on our little Stillwater getaway just the weekend before).  the girls wanted to set the table and help with the food.  They did a great job and were so proud of themselves!  they are VERY creative with heart candles, paper flowers and EVEN an itunes playlist all ready for us (that last one was all Adler and it couldn't have been more perfect!!)  We closed the dining room doors (the girls and dogs were in the living room right next to us), dimmed the lights, and started eating our steak, salad, and twice baked potatoes.  Not JOKING- about 2 minutes into the food the baby started BAWLING (the kind that isn't going to stop until her mama is holding her) and one of the other girls came in to "ask us a question" in the meantime letting one of the dogs into the dining room (notice Mosely under the table at my feet in the second pic?)  We tried to let Paisley cry for a few minutes but she just wasn't happy.  So I ended up holding her while trying eat (Heath cut my steak for me--awww!) with a dog at my feet and three other little girls coming into the room every two minutes!!!  I just had to laugh at us thinking we could have a nice quiet dinner with 4 kiddos and 2 dogs!!  I just kept thinking of that Phil Vasser song (we love us some PHIL!!) Just Another Day in Paradise...it just fits our life to a "t."  .....I wouldn't change it for anything and I ask the Lord every night, for just another day in paradise....

34 Years and Counting!!!!

We celebrated our anniversary, birthdays, and Valentine's Day with a trip last weekend to Stillwater.  After surviving a few kinks (changing hotels b/c the pool and hot tub were closed, FREEZING cold temps, no margaritas on Sunday at Eskimo Joes!!) we ended up having a nice relaxing time!  We agreed that it felt really weird to not have a single kid with us and we did miss them.  I had that Monday off for President's Day so it was nice to take our time knowing that they were in good hands at their Grammy's.  It can be very hectic to have so many big things to celebrate in just ten days but we are so thankful to have each other, our family, health, and happiness- so it is all good!!

Cold Beers at Mexico Joes

Shopping around downtown Stillwater.  Heath drug me to EVERY Oklahoma State store to find the perfect hat.  In the end he decided to get one at the FIRST store we went to!!!

Eskimo Joes

we ended up going to Joe's twice during our weekend!  We sat at the bar both times--I started feeling like a REGULAR after a while!
