I wanted to attempt to blog a little for baby Jeter. I am starting with Day 5 and may or may not get back to Day 1...but as I am learning with life and the blog...I will do what I can and not stress about it!! Especially now that Jeter is here...he is going to need some extra TLC. I have decided that he is going to SLOW ME DOWN in a good way. I know that I try to do everything and am very hard on myself WHEN I don't get it all done. No more!! He has already taught me that I can't take even the littlest things for granted...like being able to hold my baby! This post is all about pictures of our little man today.

Here he is with Amanda (9 months pregnant with her little girl) who came to hang with us and bring us dinner.

Here are his TINY toes tucked into his "Snuggly"--must try to find one of those. He is snug as a bug in it!

Lovin is binky! He is down to only 30% oxygen saturation through his nose...a MAJOR improvement!! He needs to be around 21% so he's almost there!!

His signature "half swaddle." He will get to enjoy a full swaddle (and maybe even some clothes!) after he gets some of the 100 lines out of him!!

Momma feeding Jeter is FIRST bottle! Now THIS is a big deal! I was soo excited to get to be able to do this!-again the little things! He didn't really like it and he ended up getting it through his feeding tube. He's a LITTLE spoiled and not QUITE ready to work for it yet!

We still can't pick him up b/c of all of his tubes so I can prop him up to feed him! So happy to just be able to touch him!

My first time changing his tiny diaper! I have never really changed a boy before! I was waiting for the spray but it didn't come thank goodness!
He had a WONDERFUL day today and made MUCH progress. I want to say it helped having his momma with him! He took his next two bottles GREAT and really chugged! Today has been a day full of promise. His daddy and I know that our little man is coming home soon and that gives us much relief. I got a room in the hospital today so I will be staying here 24/7 with my boy. Heath was able to go home this afternoon and see his girls. It has been hard on him. He has been away from them since he followed Jeter's transfer to St. Jo- the longest time he has ever been away from them. He was able to go coach Crosby's 3-0 win in soccer (she scored all THREE goal of the game! I call that a "Crosby Shut Out."
Tomorrow could be a big day for us: holding him, nursing for the first time...we will see how it goes and keep you all posted. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. We feel all of them with us in this tough time.
miss you chicka and if you or heath or the girls need anything just text or call me on cell or at work; heath knows the extension.
