Hi Little Baby!!

We had our first sonogram today! It was so exciting!! Right away we could see our TINY baby and its heart beating. I almost teared up even though our baby looks like a little peanut right now, it was just so REAL once you could see the little heart beating so quickly.
Adler was the photographer today!! She did a good job! The sono tech was so nice and answered all of my questions. I would think after the 3rd time I wouldn't have soo many questions but nope not me!! Right away she noticed my tilted pelvis (the reason for my c-sections) something she said I was just born with.

We decided to take Adler and Chelo to the appointment. They had wanted to go so badly! When I picked Adler up from school she was at recess and I thought she might not want to go but oh no she came running up with her stuff, excited! Adler HATES to miss school so this was obviously so important to her! Oh and while I was waiting in the school office the secretary said, "I just LOVE your daughter!" Oh, I was just so proud to hear that!!! She claims she is REALLY good at school! Now if we could just get home figured out ;)
I lovelovelove the different dynamic in our family with this new baby coming. Sometimes I think about the large age difference between my children but I am sure they will all still be close. Adler and Chelo will be 10 years old when baby pumpkin is born and I think they will be SUCH a help! Little mommies. Crosby will be 5 (the age Adler was when she was born. Chel was 4) and she will be the great big sister "helper" if you know what I mean!!! :)
The sono tech said the baby's heartbeat is 146 beats per minute. We got online as soon as we got home to check out the gender predictor sites on heart rate. It said that according to ancient chinese beliefs an in-utero heart rate over 140 predicts GIRL!!!! The girls of course took this as "Your baby is a Girl." Adler was upset and we had to remind them that this is something fun to do and DOESN'T at all predict gender. Aparently she really wants that baby brother!!! She must REALLY love Dalton!!!! :)

Juno: Yeah I came as soon as I got that ultrasound goo off my pelvis. It was crazy actually, my step-mom verbally abused the ultrasound tech and we got escorted off the premises.

(this is about what I felt like doing when the receptionist lady was giving me a hard time)... it went something like this:

"Is your bladder full?????" -her (in a not so friendly tone)

"I think so, I just drank about 40 oz."-me

"you were SUPPOSED to drink it 30-45 minutes before your appointment"-her

"She just drank a TON of water!!"-Adler innocently (go Ads!)

me walking away mumbling... "You didn't SAY 30-45 minutes before and do you REALLY talk like that to a pregnant lady?!??!?!?" and my famous line to people in her line of work "aren't you supposed to be friendly in customer service... isn't that like YOUR JOB???" Now I didn't say any of these things to her but I thought them REALLY HARD!!!
