Day 3 Shopping and BBQ

So as mentioned in the previous post, we had decided that instead of going to Valley Fair (since I can't ride anything and Heath had J-Dog for help) that I would stay behind and have a day to myself and THAT I DID!!! As soon as I got them ready and out the door I hit the road myself. First stop, IKEA!! It is right across the street from the MOA. My friend Sheryl had a table top in need of exchanging that we had brought with us from Kansas so that was first on my agenda--SheREAL remind me to tell you about that little adventure! Then I headed straight to shopping. Now if you've never been to IKEA let me tell ya it is a TRIP! It is just jamcrampacked with FUN stuff for your home at SUPER cheap prices. Now since the prices are super cheap the quality isn't the greatest but WHO CARES!! it is fun stuff!! After about an hour of shopping I hit the cafe for lunch. I ordered the Sweedish meatball lunch---hey when in Rome!! It was so surreal to sit and eat alone in peace. Next to me was a lady with 4 little boys and I thought that is me in 2 months then I reminded myself that no it wasn't cause I NEVER would bring all of my kids with me to IKEA. I can't concentrate---I need the peace!
Here is a little pic of the kid's section. I did get several cute things for the girl's rooms (lamps, hanging organizers) and a few things for the nursery (hamper, comforter insert, flower shaped lamps) and other things for the house (a mirror, laundry sorters, bath mat, kitchen utensils--just a bunch of random goodness!!)

After doing damage at IKEA I went over to the MOA. The day before when we were there I
hadn't even gone in a "MOMMY Store" cause that day was all about the girls--but today, my friends was MY DAY!!! When I got in the mall I mapped out my route and of course every store I had on my list was on the east side of the mall and I had parked on the west!! FIGURES!! So I hiked it over to Archiver's to check it out. I had been there the last time we were in town. I saw a few neat papers that I didn't have--shocking I KNOW!! But other than that it was mostly things I can get at my ATTIC!!!! So it wasn't too hard to refrain! there anyway.... the mall directory had listed OLD NAVY MATERNITY so that was my next order of business. In fact it was just a regular ON store with a maternity section--not much different than Towne East. The sweet part was that they were having a summer clearance sale so I got a TON of stuff for Crosby and the baby for next summer and a few maternity things for myself. My last stop was Barnes and Nobel to pick up a baby book for Beckett. I found exactly what I was looking for---more of a memory book with spots to add a few pics. Oh and I must mention that I had to stop several times on the trek back to the car. With all of my bags, everything was sooo heavy that I was really having a time!!! I ended up getting back to the house AFTER the crew did from Valley Fair--SWEET!
That night Melissa was having a BBQ for her kickball team. It was good to see some familiar faces and to meet more Minnesotans!! The girls spent most of the evening playing kickball in the yard--their new fave outdoor activity thanks to J&M.

Apparently I have lost my touch with the babies!! No, Beckett is such a good boy he was just wanting a bottle that Adler sat and fed him. She was really good with him all week...it will be interesting to see how she is with her own little sister...

Here is Dirk talking it up to the girls and cracking us up. He taught them this song/dance from a Jack in the Box commercial (something about buffalo ranch chicken sandwich). It was a crack up and of course they did it over and over for about an hour!!

Beckett's Bumbo is hilarious!!! we had him just chillin at the end of our table with us while we ate dinner!!!
It was almost midnight by the time we got baths and were in bed. Another fun-filled day with the MN Christies!!
