Cowley County Fair
We decided to go ahead and take the girls down to the fair Thursday night to ride rides. We were hesitant to go and spend the $$$ on tickets since we were headed to Minnesota for vacation (and go to a big amusement park) a few days later. Heath and I talked about it and decided that we would not be Winfield-ians if we missed a summer at the fair. It was a BLAST as we knew it would be and even though it is a lot on my body to walk around for long periods of time---it was totally worth it. I have so much fun watching my girls run from ride to ride, laughing, and having a ball. We rode til almost 11pm!! It is just sooo hard to leave!!! This year Crosby got denied to ride most of the bigger rides by about 1/2 an inch so next year she will be good to go on most everything!! She was able to get on the Wave aka the Music Fest. The first time on it she wasn't so sure about it and looked terrified and teary eyed the whole ride but just as I had predicted... she wanted to go again and was IN LOVE!!! It was her first official big girl ride and she is hooked just like her sissies!!! Chelo's fave is the Typhoon which is ironic because she used to cry and cover her ears and called it "THE POPPIN SOUND" when she was Crosby's age!!! She HATED how loud and fast it was back then!! Adler is a little me--- she loves the STAR. It is her fave!! She will lock the cage upside down and ride that way the whole time--just like I used too!!! Kami and I used to LOVE the STAR for sure!!! Adler has to recruit people to ride upside down with her on the star!! Most people aren't that into it!!! It is so neat to watch them living the same experiences of my childhood that I loved so much... almost coming full circle in a way for me...
Sounds like you all had a great time!
