Day 2 - MOA

This is what we did today!!!!! I wanted to take the girls for a Mom and Daughter day while Heath and Jared played golf. I took them to the Mall of America aka MOA which is sooo close to J&M's house----it took me about 5 minutes to get there!! We pulled into a front row parking spot right in front of the Mall which if you have been you know this is a MAJOR score!!!The first and really only necessary destination---The American Girl store. They were beside themselves with excitement about this day...

This store is truly amazing--a little girl's dream come true. All pink, all dolls, all for girls!! They were running around in heaven!! First stop was the beauty shop. Chelo and Crosby's dolls got their hair done and Adler's Mia got her ears pierced!!!

They each picked out an outfit for their dolls and we went to the second floor where the Bistro was to eat lunch. We got to the counter to get our table at 11:20am and the lady said the next available reservation would be at 2pm!!!! Normally this may have annoyed me but it was fine because I KNEW how awesome this place would be for them so I was okay with it (even though right when we had walked in I asked a lady if we should go up and get reservations right when we got there and she said "oh no, it is Tuesday you guys won't have any problem getting in." OKAY!! If we had 2 1/2 hours to kill I guess the MOA is the place to be!!!! We had already decided that we weren't going to ride rides at the MOA cause we had done that and had plans to go to Valley Fair tomorrow and they were cool with that. We walked around and did a little shopping... and before long it was time to eat. We went back up to the Bistro and we were right...it was AWESOME!!!! The girls got little pink booster seats for the dolls and when they served our food and drinks they also brought small servings of everything for the dolls-- even dessert cause they had been such "good girls." It was such a neat experience that I am glad I was able to share with my girls!!! I LOVE doing girlie stuff like that with my daughters!!

Adler found a few cute things to wear to school at Justice their new favorite store!!

When we got home (after running out of the Mall because Crosby had a little melt down toward the end of the day) and my body was pretty achy. Cros and I ended up taking a 2 hour nap and when we got up Jared had set up a dinner on the front lawn in honor of National Night Out. The neighbors were all walking by and saying hi and walking down to the neighborhood ice cream social that Jared had been so excited about since we got the invite the day before. Seriously, we were going to this thing FOR SURE--Jared can be a total girl sometimes!!

We walked up to the block shin dig and they were having a "meeting" and discussing neighborhood business. I was like WTH are we doing here!?!?! After a few minutes we were talking it up with all of the neighbors.... the cousins from Kansas rolling up with kids and dogs and beer crashing the block party!!! So typical of us!!!

It ended up being a just fine time but we were surely the wild ones of the crowd!! What else is new?!?!! It didn't help that J&M's crazy friend Dirk rolled down to Jared's dig shin with us. We kept laughing because the neighbors would ask what house they lived in and they would answer the Hansel and Gretel one. Dirk and I were ROLLING to this because that describes EVERY house in their entire neighborhood!! I will try to remember to post a pic of the block tomorrow!! Wow there is so much more to say but I HAVE to go to bed now.... more tomorrow night so check back!!!
