Cutie Crosby!!

The big girls had a soccer game tonight which they won 2-0. Chelo scored tonight and Adler had several close shots. It is so cool to watch them play together! After the game the girls still wanted to play outside (it is in the 70s still in the evenings) so we played a little family kickball. I even got in on a little of the action but dad put a nix on any running for me and even the slightest quick side to side movements give me sharp twinges of pain so I was more of a cheerleader!!! When it got too dark for them to play anymore we all came in and got ready for bed. I didn't take any pics of it but I have a funny little Crosby story... so before bedtime she wanted to give "make overs" and "massages" in her salon. So she got her room all straightened up (which she NEVER does) and gathered a bunch of stuff. Apparently she was in the upstairs closet cause she had a bunch of my old make up and a TON of hair stuff. I went first of course and she painted my nails, brushed out my hair (LOVELY!), and put lip gloss and mascara on me!!! I know MASCARA!! At first I was like NO WAY and she just looked at me with that sweetsweet face I can't turn down so I let her and she did fine. After, she had me lay down for my "3 minute massage." She asked me about every 10 seconds if it had been 3 minutes yet and finally I just said yes!! After my appointment, she needed another customer but Adler had already crashed out, so she went for dad. His first response was "Dad's don't get make overs" but again, he gave right in to her sweetness. She said "I'll make you look like a runner daddy." So he agreed and she put a headband on him like a runner's sweat band then all I could hear was this loud hissing sound and Heath saying "Crosby, what was that?!?!?!" and in her teeny tiny voice she said "it is just hairspray, daddy!" By that time I had gone in to see his reaction and we just kind of looked at each other and he said "of course...hairspray!!" duh daddy, don't you know all runners use hairspray?!?!? Sooo cute I am still smiling about it today.

Oh WHAT a MoNdAy!!!!

Normally Mondays are my LEAST favorite day of the week but today was GREAT!! Lindsay had another shower planned for me at our school with all of our teacher friends. It was soo wonderful to get through another long day knowing that we were going to get together after school!!
This was the Price is Right game she had planned. It was a higher/lower price game. I did pretty well (8/10) and got to keep all of the goodies after! I even won a King Sized Reese's that Crosby tried to talk me out of but I stood strong!!

This punch was sooo good I had 3 glasses and I think my stomach was a little too full from it!

L.Fox made me carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting because she knows I crave carrot cake!!

I got TONS of sweet gifts and felt sooo grateful that I have such a great bunch of women that I work with!! So many wonderful friends stopped by to bring a gift and wish us well :)

My mommy-to-be throne that Lindsay and Hailey rigged up for me!! VERY Classy!

When I got home from school I was sooo very exhausted. Everyone was excited to see all of the new baby things though, so Heath and Adler unloaded the car and we went through all of the goodies! The girls had a blast opening the gifts back up and looking at everything. It was like having the shower all over again! After that, I decided that I wanted to start on the nursery. I KNOW with only 4 weeks to go and I STILL haven't gotten to it. Adler went in to start peeling wallpaper and called to me... "Mom what is this printed stuff underneath the wallpaper?" I panicked and went in to the room. Just as I had FEARED...2 layers of wallpaper. NOOOOOOO!!!!! The blue is the top layer and the red (from as hard as it is to peel off) looks like it has been there since the dawn of time!!!!!!!
I am soooo very bummed about this because it is going to take FOREVER to get this all off. I scraped until 9pm and just got 1/4 of ONE wall done!! At this rate it is going to take 16 days until JUST the wallpaper is off. Not counting several days of painting and decorating. So if you call or come by and I don't answer it is b/c I am upstairs scraping wallpaper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fun Saturday for Me!!!

Kara and I headed to Wichita early Saturday morning for some shopping. Our first stop was Furniture Row. We NEEDED some new living room furniture, our old stuff is just YUCKY and with this new baby on the way and lots of company I just couldn't take it anymore!! I really wanted a sectional so we would have plenty of seating. I ended up going with a smaller sectional and this animal print lounge chair!!! I am really happy with the pieces I chose and I think they will work great for our family! I think we will end up having to draw straws for to see who gets to sit on the SUPER comfy lounger though!!
After the furniture store we made several stops looking for some plates, cups, and napkins for my Winfield baby shower. We didn't have a lot of luck (until we got to Hobby Lobby and of course you can find EVERYTHING you are looking for there!!) We also went to the mall and while Kara was picking up some curtains I shopped for some maternity underwear!! FUN! NOT! I tried on a couple of bras at Penney's and they just didn't fit right and you should've seen the underwear the lady pointed out to me!! You know the HUGE silky granny panties?!?!? Well think about 2x bigger than those! I told her NO WAY that I just couldn't do it and she looked and me like I was too good for her undies!! We headed straight for Motherhood and I found EXACTLY what I was looking for and at great prices too (even though Penney's was having a huge sale ;) Heath and I always joke b/c every week in the paper Penney's is having the biggest sale of the year!!) It felt really good to have those purchases checked off of the list. Even though I have 4 weeks left there still seems like SOOO much to do and everyday is almost booked up to my delivery date!
After shopping we went to the Attic where they had a crafty shower for me. I got some ready made pages which will be NICE to be able to just put pics on! Also, Lindsay bought some little TINY white onsies that we all decorated! They turned out super cute and I even got matching hairbows! This girl is going to be STYLIN!
Here is Lindsay contemplating her next brilliant plan for the "Princess Paisley" onsie!

Karagirl and Sher-Real stitching away!

Kelli and her hand painted "Precious Paisley" onsie.

The busy bee attic girls hard at it!

The finished products! I LOVE THEM!!

A baby bath set from Kelli!

Steff's awesome pages!

An adorable Paisley layout and gorgeous zebra and hot pink hair bow w/ ruffled onsie courtesy of Kelli and Renee!
We had such a fun time and the 3 hours just FLEW!!! I was soo pooped when I got home, I went straight to bed and slept a ton Sunday. Heath worked hard and got all of the wallpaper off of the living room walls so we can get that painted by next Sunday (in time for my Winfield and AC friends to come over). I am keeping my fingers crossed SUPER hard that my new furniture will be here in time but they said it would probably be the first of next week. DARN!

34 Weeks!!

This week I feel like she is laying in my stomach lower than the other girls cause I don't feel her up in my ribs and chest like I have before (toward the end) but we still have a month to go so I guess a lot could change. I am hoping this FINAL month of my pregnancy FLIES!!! We have a lot of fun things to do (baby showers, nursery, baby shopping!!) to get ready for this sweet baby's arrival so I am hoping that will help. I am still feeling relatively well, no signs of swelling yet! YIPEE! But by the end of the week I am a gonner!! After working all last week, by Friday I was just sick. Now I think I now know what TRUE exhaustion feels like. Much different than the tired and drowsiness of the first trimester. I see my OB today at 3pm so I will talk to her about how much longer I should work. If she tells me anything new I will be sure to post it...otherwise it should just be a normal OB check up!!!

Crosby Soccer Monday Night!!

Crosby played a great game tonight! She scored her team's only goal!! There was a little boy on the other team that was pretty good and gave her some GREAT competition!!!

I was lucky to get her goal on video! YES!!!

Bluegrass Shopping!

One of our FAVORITE parts of Bluegrass is walking (or driving the golf cart) up to the Grandstand area to shop around. I was really able to refrain myself from spending much this year cause right now it is all about the BABY!! I am saving all of my extra dinero for baby stuff!! We did see a CAUUUTE tye dye onesie and blankie...maybe next year.

Mimi was working the gate when we went up so we got to watch her check bags (for drugs and alcohol!) I bet this lady had some on her---NOT!!! :) heehee! Mimi was having a great time up there making friends with just about everyone except the Gestapo (what she called the Bluegrass security, who were practically making her frisk people down for contraband!!!)
Adler oooh-ing and aaahh-ing over the beautiful tye dye. If you can see the blue guitar scarf hanging behind the woman's head on the left.... she chose a shirt with that same image on it.

Crosby was ADDICTED to the face painting. This lady has been painting here for years and I swear she is getting more elaborate and SLOWER!!! She is really awesome but you could seriously wait in line 30 minutes to an hour and Crosby and her daddy did, over and over again!!! She got her face painted everyday!!

Sweet Jayhawk

Kitty Cat

Awesome Butterfly

Rock Chalk!

Chelo and her good friend Kara got Bert and Ernie

HatTrick!!!!

We got up bright and early (8am!) on Bluegrass Saturday for Crosby's soccer game. The district cancels school for Bluegrass but we don't mess with soccer!!! I am SURE glad I pulled myself out of bed for this one! She was awesome!! She scored THREE goals and then her daddy put her back on defense---she needed a rest!!!

Here she is playing D!! Sometimes they get bored waiting for the ball! Good game!!!

And that is my daughter taking the road less traveled...headed down the right side when everyone else is on the left!!!

More Maternity Pics!!

Here are the rest of the pictures my friend Kristy Mullins took of me Labor Day weekend at 8 months. We had such a good time taking these and I can't be happier with how they turned out!! I have never done anything like this before and I am so glad to have these wonderful shots of my girl in my tummy!
