Line Up!

Heath wanted to take the golf cart down to the fairgrounds today so it will be down there for Bluegrass. Of course, he got pulled over on the way by the po-po because APPARENTLY golf carts are street legal by STATE law but the city of Winfield has not adopted the ordinance! He lucked out and didn't get a ticket. WHEW!!! The girls and I met him with the car and decided to ride around for a bit to check out all of the campers in line. If you aren't familiar.... Bluegrass is the 3rd weekend in Sept. but 2 weeks before (so this coming Thurs) they hold a Land Rush where people make MAD dashes in their campers, buses, or what-have-ya's... in hopes of securing "their spot" from year's past. We have been camping with Mimi and Poppy and L. Fox for 5 years now in the same spot (with the exception of last years flood when we ended up at the lake).

So anyway, Landrush... in order to get into the landrush you have to line up your camper starting almost 2 weeks before. We are #250 in line for the Pecan Grove and Mimi and Poppy are in the 100s so we should be able to get our spot, no problem.... I haven't ever participated in Landrush (ya know, school and all) but I hear it is quite the experience. Hopefully I will manage to get some pics of the mayhem this year!!!
