SHE DID IT!!!!

Today was one proud day for me... Adler passed Red Cross Swimming Level 6!! I am sooo proud of her. I don't know why but swimming lessons have always been such a big deal to me and i have passed that down to my children. In true Adler fashion, she didn't want to stop taking lessons until she passed all of the levels and today she accomplished that goal. I couldn't be more proud of her perseverance... we are talking jumping into icy cold water every morning for most of the summer and swimming lap after lap without a single complaint. SO VERY COOL OF HER! I think that is one of the best joys of parenthood... my daughters can pester and bicker and drive me absolutely stinkin crazy at times and then turn right around and show that great character that I want so much for them to possess... {sniffsniff} She did that to me today and my heart was just FILLED!!

and now a FUNNY!!! so for a swimming lesson season well done treat I took the girls to Sonic and Braums. Whatever they wanted and boy did they pick some crazy stuff!! You may know that at Sonic during Happy Hour I order 2 drinks. A lg dt. dr. pepper for now and a route 44 iced tea with 5 sweet-n-lows (and yes, I have this down to an exact science!) that I drink later. Well when the chica brought our drinks out and read them back to us she said lg dt. dp, rt 44 tea, and kiddie dt dr pepper slush with 5 sweet-n-lows. I thought that was odd that she read the sweetener last thinking surely they didn't.... oh yes they did...they put FIVE sweeteners in my 4 year old's kiddie slush!!! If you have seen the size of a kiddie drink you are laughing right now cause they are TINY not to mention the fact that sonic slushes are SUPER sweet anyway!!!!!!!!!! It just floored me that the sonic girl would think I would put 5 sweeteners in my kids slush!! Who does that!! We were DYING!!!!!!!!!!!! Crosby of course thought it was the greatest drink EVER--and of course it was--it tasted like kiddie crack!! PURE SUGAR!!!
